We’re equally interested in finding out how you approach your work, your mindset and to what extent you’re able to ascribe to and reflect our values (ingenuity, optimism, courage and tenacity). We’re also interested in whether you have the drive to succeed.

During the selection process, we’ll talk to you about the role and the company and ask you about past successes, challenges and your career ambitions. This is important so that we can see how you might fit into and grow within Shielder Capital

You should be prepared to talk about yourself, your career and your point of view on current market trends and industry developments. We want to get to know you as an individual and discover your strengths and attitude. It’s important to be authentic and true to yourself. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to explore the role you could play in our organisation and meet the people you’d be working with.

The Resourcing team reviews all submitted CVs. Should your skills, experience and achievements match the role profile, a member of the team will be in touch to discuss your application further.

Your CV is an important part of your application. A good covering letter outlining why you are appropriate for the role can also help the Resourcing team assess if you are potentially a good match.

The length of our recruitment process can vary, depending on factors such as the time of year, seniority of the role and whether or not additional assessment is involved. We will always be transparent with you upfront, indicating how long you should expect the process to take for the specific role you are applying for.

We’d advise you to do as much research into Shielder Capital and the marketplace as you can. This isn’t just useful preparation for the interview, but will also give you more confidence and help you decide whether we’re a good fit for you.
